Turkmen products sold to number of countries on exchange

Entrepreneurs from Switzerland, the UAE, and Afghanistan purchased aviation kerosene, petroleum bitumen, hydrotreated diesel fuel, gasoline, and low-sulfur heating oil produced at Turkmenistan’s Turkmenbashi Complex of Oil Refineries on the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan during the last week, Trend reports with reference to Turkmenistan’s State News Agency.

In addition, businessmen from the UK, the UAE, and Afghanistan purchased ESO-93 gasoline in foreign currency, representatives of Malta purchased polyethylene, while Serbia bought licorice root extract also in foreign currency.

The total amount of transactions on the exchange in foreign currency exceeded $ 60 million.

The exchange also conducted transactions in Turkmen manat. Thus, entrepreneurs from the UAE bought the cotton yarn on the Turkmen exchange for a total of 376,000 Turkmen manat ($107,318).

In general, 20 transactions were registered on the exchange over the past week.

As reported, more than 242 transactions were registered on the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan in February 2021.

During the first week of February 59 transactions were concluded, during the second – 110, the third – 66, and the fourth - 7 transactions.

The State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan was established on July 29, 1994. It is the most important body of state regulation of export-import operations.
