Value of handcrafts exported from Iran’s Hamadan Province revealed

Handicrafts worth $40 million were exported from the Hamadan Province (western Iran) in the last Iranian year (from March 20, 2020 through March 20, 2021), deputy director of the Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Department of Hamadan Province Hashem Mazaheri told ISNA news agency, Trend reports.

The official emphasized that pottery and souvenirs, furniture and other items were exported from Hamadan Province.

Mazaheri added that the main exported product is Lalejin potteries. So, the value of these products export amounted to $30 million.

“The handicrafts from Hamadan Province have been exported to many countries, including Iraq, Azerbaijan, Turkey, the UAE, the Netherlands and Ghana,” he said.

According to Mazaheri, the spread of coronavirus pandemic has significantly reduced the exports of handicrafts from the province.
