Fruits and vegetables make up majority of Azerbaijan's export of non-oil products

The biggest share of Azerbaijan's export accounted for fruits and vegetables, which amounted to $70.5 million from January through February 2021, Trend reports on April 1 citing the "Export Review" of the Azerbaijani Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication.

Fruits and vegetables are followed by cotton fiber ($37.4 million), aluminum and aluminum products ($27.7 million), chemical products ($6.3 million), ferrous metals and ferrous products ($14.6 million), cotton yarn ($3.2 million), alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages ($1.9 million), sugar ($4.9 million), vegetable and animal fats and oils ($3.9 million), tea ($1.4 million).

Gold is in the first place ($24.7 million), cotton solvent – is in the second place ($22.7 million) and electric power is in the third place ($15.7 million) in the list of non-oil products exported from January through February 2021.

The export of the non-oil products in January 2021 increased compared to January 2020 by $185.2 million.

The non-oil products worth $106.9 million were exported to Turkey, non-oil products worth $85.5 million to Russia, non-oil products worth $35.2 million to Switzerland, non-oil products worth $28.3 million to Georgia and non-oil products worth $13.2 million to the US from January through February 2021.

Azerbaijan's export of non-oil products amounted to $1.9 billion in 2020. The export of the non-oil products decreased by 5.9 percent or $102 million compared to 2019.
