Entrepreneurs from Turkey and Afghanistan purchased calcined petroleum coke and hydrotreated diesel fuel produced at the Turkmenbashi Complex of Oil Refineries of Turkmenistan during trading on the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan last week, Trend reports with reference to the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.
In addition, businessmen from Afghanistan purchased the brand ECO-93 gasoline in foreign currency, and businessmen from the UAE –cotton yarn. In addition, the subject of transactions of businessmen from Russia and Afghanistan was polyethylene.
The total amount of transactions on the exchange in foreign currency exceeded $ 24 million.
Transactions were also made on the exchange in Turkmen manat. Thus, entrepreneurs from Pakistan purchased cotton yarn for the amount of more than 878,000 Turkmen manat (over $251,318).
In addition, local businessmen purchased polypropylene bags, paraffin gach, agglomerate and granules of polypropylene film in the amount of more than 10.6 million manat (over $3 million).
In general, 37 transactions were registered on the exchange last week.
As reported, more than 143 transactions were registered on the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan in March 2021.
During the first week of March, 18 deals were made, during the second – 31, the third – 34, and the fourth - 60 deals.
The State Commodity Exchange of Turkmenistan was established on July 29, 1994. It is the most important body of state regulation of export-import operations.
