Azerbaijan plans to organize personal account system for auditors

The Chamber of Auditors of Azerbaijan plans to organize a personal account system for auditors in the country in 2021, Chairman of the Chamber of Auditors Vahid Novruzov told Trend.

"The system of the auditor's personal account will be improved," the chairman of the Chamber of Auditors said. "The Action Plan for 2021 included the measures to increase transparency in the direction of improving the legislative and regulatory audit framework upon the decision of the Council of the Chamber of Auditors of Azerbaijan dated November 26, 2020."

"The International Standards on Auditing adopted by the International Federation of Accountants have been applied in Azerbaijan since 2010 upon the decision of the Council of the Chamber," Novruzov said. "These standards, as well as the relevant regulations, road maps, National Action Plans of Azerbaijan and regulatory documents of the Chamber envisage ensuring the reliability and transparency of accounting and financial reporting, which directly affect the availability and an increase in the transparency of the country's economy."

"The implementation of a number of important measures in the field of quality control, ethics and transparency, personnel training, international relations, publications, conferences and seminars, information support and internal regulation is especially important in connection with the 25th anniversary of the formation of the Chamber of Auditors of Azerbaijan," chairman of the Chamber of Auditors said.

The Chamber of Auditors of Azerbaijan is an independent financial control structure in the country.
