Exports of several oil products from Iran shrink

The exports of Iran’s oil products and various industrial oils, excluding gasoline, decreased by 67.3 percent in terms of value and by 47 percent in terms of volume in the last Iranian year (from March 20, 2020 through March 20, 2021), compared to the preceding Iranian year (from March 21, 2019 through March 19, 2020), Trend reports citing the statistics of Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA).

According to the statistics, Iran exported 2.62 million tons of oil products worth $837 million last Iranian year.

“So, the exports of oil products accounted for 2.39 percent of Iran's total exports in terms of value and 2.3 percent in terms of volume over last Iranian year,” the statistics said.

While in the preceding Iranian year, Iran exported 4.95 million tons of oil products worth $2.56 billion, the statistics said.

Some 10 products worth $13.7 billion accounted for 39 percent of Iran's total exports worth about $35 billion over last Iranian year.

Iran's total foreign trade turnover amounted to about 146 million tons worth $73 billion in the last Iranian year. During this period, Iran exported 112 million tons of goods worth about $35 billion and imported 33.4 million tons worth $38.4 billion.
