The retail trade turnover in pharmaceutical products and medical supplies in Azerbaijan from January through March 2021 totaled 216.1 million manat ($127.1 million), Trend reports referring to the State Statistical Committee.
According to the committee, in annual terms, the growth made up 45.5 percent.
In the reporting period, 2.2 percent of the funds spent by the population fell on pharmaceutical and medical products.
Meanwhile, the average monthly retail trade turnover per capita amounted to 318.1 manat ($187.1), the report reads.
During the reporting period, the cost of products sold in retail chains in Azerbaijan amounted to 9.5 billion manat ($5.6 billion), which is 1.1 percent less compared to the same period of last year.
