Iran continues preferential trade talks with five countries

Iran continues talks on preferential trade with five countries - India, Uzbekistan, Indonesia, Azerbaijan and Vietnam, Deputy Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade of Iran, and Head of the Trade Promotion Organization of Iran (TPOI) Hamid Zadboum told journalists, Trend reports citing the organization’s website.

The chairman emphasized that these discussions are mainly held in the form of webinars due to the spread of coronavirus pandemic.

Zadboum added that Iran is also in talks with the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) member states and Pakistan, regarding free trade.

“Iran's trade attachés to Azerbaijan, Russia, China and Oman will be sent to these countries in the second month of the current Iranian year (April 21 through May 21, 2021), and trade attachés will operate within a strategic plan under the supervision of ambassadors,” he said.

The deputy minister noted that Iran's national strategy plan on exports has been prepared in the fields of industry, agriculture and services.
