Iran to commission over 100 industrial enterprises in Qom Province

As many as 140 industrial enterprises will be put into operation in the Qom Province (northern Iran) in the current Iranian year (from March 21, 2021 through March 20, 2022), Chairman of Industry, Mine and Trade Organization of Qom Province Mahmoud Sijani said, Trend reports citing the organization’s website.

The chairman said that 10 trillion rials (about $238 million) will be spent on these enterprises and 3,500 people will be employed.

Sijani added that 10 industrial enterprises were put into operation in Qom Province in the 1st month of the current Iranian year (March 21 through April 20, 2021).

“A total of 130 industrial enterprises were put into operation in Iran's Qom Province in the last Iranian year (from March 20, 2020 through March 20, 2021). About 8 trillion rials (about $190 million) were spent on the launch of these enterprises and 3,060 people were employed,” he said.

Sijani noted that there are currently 170 industrial enterprises in Iran's Qom Province. The activities of 37 enterprises were restored last Iranian year. While in the current Iranian year, it is planned to be restored the activities of 40 enterprises.
