Iran Khodro Industrial Group will save 133 million euro annually with the completion of 125 projects related to the domestic production of spare parts in the current Iranian year (from March 21, 2021, through March 20, 2022), Managing Director of Supplying Automotive Parts Company (SAPCO) Adil Pirmohammadi said, Trend reports citing the group’s website.
The director stressed that so, 76 million euro will be saved annually with the domestic production of the most commonly used spare parts, 26 million euro - with the production of raw materials, 24 million euro - with improving the quality of spare parts, 7 million euro - with the production of spare parts molds.
Pirmohammadi added that a total of 8.49 trillion rials (about $202 million) and 13 million euros are needed to implement these projects.
“In general, 1,715 euro is spent abroad on the production of each car in Iran. About 67 percent of these funds are spent on raw material production and electronic spare parts, and 33 percent on spare parts,” he said.
According to the director, cooperation of Iran's petrochemical, steel and electronics sectors is very important in this area.
