Geostat reveals data on China's exports to Georgia

BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 21

Georgia imported 7,057 tons of flat-rolled products of non-alloy clad or coated steel from China for the amount of $5.63 million from January through March 2021, which is 351 tons less compared to the same period of 2020, Trend reports referring to National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat).

In the reporting period, Georgia imported 4,635 tons of moving, grading, extracting or boring machinery, minerals or ores from China worth $40.4 million. In comparison, Georgia imported 216.7 tons of automatic data processing machines and units from China worth $837,200 in 2020.

Meanwhile, 3,173 tons of new pneumatic rubber tires worth $7.5 million were imported by Georgia from China.

Also, 3,674 tons of polyacetals and epoxide resins, and other polyesters in primary forms worth $3.08 million were imported by Georgia from China.

During the reporting period, Georgia exported products worth $109.7 million to the Chinese market, which is 13.4 percent of total exports from Georgia.

Meanwhile, China's exports to Georgia amounted to $182.7 million, which comprises 9.4 percent of total imports to Georgia.
