Kazakhstan, Russia adopt Comprehensive Program of Economic Cooperation for 2021-2025

Kazakh Prime Minister Askar Mamin during his visit to Russia’s Kazan city held talks with Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Mikhail Mishustin, Trend reports referring to the government of Kazakhstan.

The parties discussed the issues of further building up bilateral cooperation in trade, economic, transport, logistics, energy, geological spheres, as well as industrial cooperation, agro-industrial complex, rational use and protection of water resources of transboundary rivers.

The topical issues of interaction in the format of the Eurasian Economic Union were considered. Particular attention is paid to the joint measures to combat the spread of COVID-19 and mitigate the consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic for the economies of the two countries.

Following the talks, the following documents were signed in presence of the heads of government of the two countries:

- a comprehensive program of economic cooperation for 2021-2025 between the governments of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation;

- an agreement on cooperation in the field of geological exploration of mineral deposits in the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Russian Federation and foreign countries between Kazgeology JSC and Rosgeologiya JSC;

- an agreement of intent for the implementation of projects in the field of joint activity for geological exploration and development of hydrocarbon deposits in the Republic of Kazakhstan;

- a roadmap for the implementation of the "Production of butadiene and derivatives in the Republic of Kazakhstan" project;

- a framework agreement on the management of the Butadiene project;

- a memorandum of understanding between "KIDF Management Company" Ltd, the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) and "Mubadala Investment Company";

- a memorandum on the establishment of the Eurasian Stock-Exchange of Junior (Mining) Companies.

Within the visit to Kazan, Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan Askar Mamin will take part in a meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council.
