Buy/sell operations at Iran Mercantile Exchange disclosed

A total of 687,000 tons of goods worth more than 93.2 trillion rials (about $2.22 billion) were sold at the Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) in the last Iranian week (April 24 through April 29, 2021), Trend reports citing the IME’s official website.

However, 740,000 tons of goods worth more than 119 trillion rials (about $2.84 billion) were sold at the Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) in the preceding Iranian week (April 17 through April 22, 2021).

According to the report, about 321,000 tons of goods worth about 49.2 trillion rials (about $1.17 billion) were sold in the industrial and mining products section of IME last week.

"So, 261,000 tons of steel, 50,000 tons of iron ore, 4,460 tons of copper, 5,300 tons of aluminum, 120 tons of molybdenum concentrate, 24 tons of precious metal concentrate, 520 tons of zinc and 150 tons of lead were sold in this section," the report said.

In addition, more than 363,000 tons of various oil and petrochemical products worth about 43.3 trillion rials (about $1.03 billion) were sold in the oil and petrochemical products section of IME last Iranian week, the report said.

According to the report, 91,000 tons of vacuum bottom, 143,000 tons of bitumen, 58,600 tons of polymeric substances, 38,700 tons of chemicals, 26,000 tons of lube cut, 3,620 tons of base oil, 110 tons of argon, 1,000 tons of sulfur were sold in this section.

Furthermore, 3,260 tons of various products worth 713 billion rials (about $16.9 million) were sold in the submarket section of the exchange.
