High demand has been recorded for vehicles at Azerbaijan’s auctions, Trend reports referring to the Azerbaijani Ministry of Economy.
According to the ministry, during an auction held on May 18, 2021, 50 state properties, including 46 vehicles, 3 shares of joint-stock companies and 1 small state-owned enterprise.
In the first four months of 2021, 20 auctions were organized, at which 54 state properties were privatized. Of these, 5 were packages of shares in joint-stock companies, 17 small state enterprises, and 32 vehicles.
Over the reporting period, 13 electronic applications for property put up for auction were accepted. Using the electronic system, five online connections to trading were made.
All those wishing to partake in the auction on the official website of the committee (emlak.gov.az) or on the privatization portal (privatization.az) must, after registering, pay a deposit of 10 percent of the initial auction price of the object, thereby obtaining the status of the customer. On the day of the auction, bidding can be joined by selecting the section ‘Electronic auction’ on the e-services portal (e-emdk.gov.az).
