Turkmenistan, Russia’s Lipetsk region to continue developing co-op

Turkmenistan and the Lipetsk region of Russia will continue to develop mutually beneficial cooperation, the administration of the Lipetsk region told Trend.

The administration said that commenting at the videoconference of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan with representatives of the Lipetsk region, held in May 2021.

"As a result of this visit, the trade turnover of the Lipetsk region with Turkmenistan has significantly increased," the administration said.

The participants of the event concluded continuing the development of mutually beneficial cooperation and the relevance of mutual visits of delegations after the removal of quarantine barriers, added the message.

As the Russian Foreign Ministry told Trend earlier, Turkmenistan and Russia are preparing to sign a number of intergovernmental documents, including an agreement on promoting Interregional cooperation.

The ministry also informed about the signing of the Intergovernmental Program of Economic Cooperation for 2021-2023, an agreement through the Federal Customs Service of Russia on the exchange of statistical data on mutual trade and documents and information on the customs value of goods transported between the Russian Federation and Turkmenistan.

As earlier the Russian Foreign Ministry told Trend, Turkmenistan and Russia are preparing to sign an intergovernmental agreement on the promotion of interregional cooperation, an intergovernmental program of economic cooperation for 2021-2023, an agreement on the exchange of statistical data on mutual trade, and the exchange of documents and information on the customs value of goods transported between Russia and Turkmenistan.
