Iran abolishes several duties on imports

BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 3

Iran has abolished all duties on the import of precious metals (gold, silver and platinum) in raw form by the end of the current Iranian year (March 20, 2022), Trend reports citing Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA).

According to the report, these duties include various customs duties, value-added tax (VAT) and customs revenues.

In addition, individuals and legal entities can bring foreign currency into the country in accordance with the rules of the Central Bank of Iran (CBI) and restrictions on money laundering.

The Central Bank of Iran must report to the Supreme Economic Coordination Council every three months.
