Georgia, Latvia have discussed Georgia’s steps towards EU integration and the country’s progress towards Euro-Atlantic integration, Trend reports via Georgian media.
As reported, Latvian Foreign Minister Edgars Rinkevics met with Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili.
During a meeting the parties discussed the economic cooperation between the two countries, emphasising the importance of further deepening this cooperation.
The top officials of Georgia and Latvia discussed the challenges arising from the COVID-19 pandemic, the special importance of vaccination in the fight against coronavirus, and the crucial role of the international community’s solidarity to that end.
Garibashvili and Rinkevic have also discussed Georgia’s steps towards EU integration, the political and economic reforms implemented in this process, and the country’s progress towards Euro-Atlantic integration.
Rinkevics held meeting with his Georgian colleague David Zalkaliani and will meet with Georgian Parliament Speaker Kakha Kuchava.
