Exports of Iranian major steel companies climb

The raw steel and steel products exports of major Iranian steel companies increased by 146 percent in the first two months of the current Iranian year (from March 21 through May 21, 2021), compared to the same period last Iranian year, Trend reports citing IRNA.

According to the report, Iranian major steel companies exported 1.14 million tons of raw steel and steel products over the 2 months.

“These companies are Esfahan Steel Company, Mobarakeh Steel Company, Khouzestan Steel Company, Khouzestan Oxin Steel Company, Hormozgan Steel Company, Iran Alloy Steel Company, Khorasan Steel Company, South Kaveh Steel Company, Persian Gulf Saba Steel Company, Bonab Steel Company, Sirjan Steel World Company, Chadormalu Mining and Industrial Company, and Kavir Steel Company,” the report said.

In addition, these companies exported 632,000 tons of steel products in the 2nd month of the current Iranian year (April 21 through May 21, 2021), which is an increase of 187 percent, compared to the same month last Iranian year, the report said.

According to the report, the Khouzestan Steel Company exported 341,000 tons of steel products, Esfahan Steel Company – 213,000 tons, Mobarakeh Steel Company –106,000 tons during the reporting month.

As reported, Iran exported more than 4.39 million tons of mining products worth about $668 million in the 1st month of the current Iranian year (March 21 through April 20, 2021). Among the most exported mining products were raw steel and steel products worth $406 million.
