Pecan produced and processed in Georgia will be exported to 35 countries of 6 continents, Trend reports via Georgian media.
Test production of the product "Georgian Products Renaissance" started this year.
The company purchased 25 tons of production cultivated in Kakheti and processed it. It plans to double the processing of walnut crops by next year.
The hazelnut processing plant, which appeared on the market in 2014, will process up to 2,000 tons of hazelnuts annually for export.
The company invested $70,000 in COVID-19 pandemic year to expand and build the pecan production line. The new equipment breaks, calibrates, sorts, packs, and prepares the product for export.
Currently, the company employs more than 120 people.
