Iran boots exports to South Africa Republic

The exports of Iran to South Africa Republic increased by 451 percent in terms of value and 279 percent in terms of volume during the first two months of the current Iranian year (from March 21 through May 21, 2021), compared to the same period last Iranian year, an official of the Trade Promotion Organization of Iran (TPOI), Leyla Baghban said,

According to Baghban, Iran exported 148,000 tons of goods worth $32 million to South Africa Republic within the two months. This is an increase of 39,000 tons in terms of volume and $6 million in terms of value, compared to the same period last Iranian year.

The official added that Iran exported $7.26 million worth of urea and $6.4 million worth of sulfur to South Africa Republic over the mentioned period. These goods were main exported goods.

"Furthermore, Iran imported more than 100 tons of goods worth $400,000 from South Africa Republic in the two months," he said.

As reported, Iran exported 16.8 million tons of goods worth $6.32 billion in the first two months of the current Iranian year. The exports increased by 48 percent in terms of value and 17 percent in terms of volume, compared to the same period last Iranian year.
