Exports of Iran via Isfahan Province increase

The exports of Iran through the customs of the Isfahan Province (central Iran) increased by 150 percent in terms of value and 82 percent in terms of volume during the first three months of the current Iranian year (from March 21 through June 21, 2021), compared to the same period last Iranian year, Director General for Isfahan Province Customs Office, Rasoul Kuhestani said, Trend reports citing Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA).

According to him, 570,000 tons of goods worth $369 million were exported through the customs of the province in the 3 months.

Kuhestani added that so, 334,000 tons of goods worth $170 million were exported through the Isfahan customs checkpoint within the mentioned period. The exports increased by 153 percent in terms of value and 106 percent in terms of volume, compared to the same period last Iranian year.

The director-general noted that 164,000 tons of goods worth $133 million were exported through the Kashan customs checkpoint. Compared to the same period last Iranian year, the exports increased by 174 percent in terms of value and 95 percent in terms of volume.

“Furthermore, 18,000 tons of goods worth $28.2 million were exported through the customs in the territory of the Mobarakeh Steel Company in the three months. The exports increased by 92 percent in terms of value and decreased by 39 percent in terms of volume compared to the same period last Iranian year,” he said.

Additionally, 52,000 tons of goods worth $33.3 million were exported through the customs in the territory of the Esfahan Steel Company over the reporting period. This is an increase of 144 percent in terms of value and 46 percent in terms of volume, compared to the same period last Iranian year, Kuhestani added.

The official emphasized that 253 tons of goods worth $3.05 million were exported through the customs of Shahid Beheshti International Airport during the first 3 months of the current Iranian year. The exports increased by 8 percent in terms of value and decreased by 39 percent in terms of volume, compared to the same period last Iranian year.
