Iran shares data on its package for support of non-oil exports

BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 29

Iran announced details of its package for support of non-oil exports for the current Iranian year (from March 21, 2021 through March 20, 2022), Deputy Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade of Iran, and Head of the Trade Promotion Organization of Iran (TPOI) Hamid Zadboum said, Trend reports citing the organization’s website.

The deputy minister noted that according to the package, the National Development Fund of Iran is to be provide 20 trillion rials (about $476 million) in soft loans to exporters through executive banks.

Zadboum added that the loans will be provided mainly for the export of agricultural products to neighboring countries, as well as, the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU).

“The loans for support exports will be provided under two priorities. The first is to bring the earnings from the exports to the country and the second is to support the infrastructure for the exports,” he said.

As reported, Iran exported 30 million tons of goods worth $10.7 billion during the first three months of the current Iranian year (from March 21 through June 21, 2021), which is an increase of 69 percent in terms of value and 38 percent in terms of volume, compared to the same period last Iranian year.
