Activities of certain industrial enterprises resumed in Iran

The activities of 400 industrial enterprises in Iran's industrial parks have been resumed since the beginning of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2021) to date, Deputy Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade of Iran and Head of Iran Small Industries and Industrial Parks Organization (ISIPO), Ali Rasoulian said, Trend reports citing the organization.

The deputy minister said that the plan on the resuming the activities of enterprises in small industries and industrial parks has been fulfilled by 23 percent, so far. Iran plans to resume the activities of 1,600 industrial enterprises during the current Iranian year (from March 21, 2021 through March 20, 2022).

Rasoulian added that 25.8 percent of these enterprises are in the metal industry, 22 percent in the chemical industry and 16.9 percent in the food industry.

“With the restoration of the enterprises, an average of 18 people were employed in each enterprise and a total of 24 trillion rials (about $571 million) has been spent in this regard,” he said.

Rasoulian noted that activities of 1,550 enterprises in Iran were resumed over the last Iranian year (from March 20 through March 20, 2021) and about 26,000 people were employed in a result.

As reported, there are more than 1,000 small industrial and industrial parks in Iran. There are 48,000 industrial enterprises and 3,140 workshops operating in these industrial parks. About 963,000 people are employed in industrial parks.
