Azerbaijani enterprises produced metallurgical products worth 513.4 million manat ($302 million) in the first seven months of 2021, Trend reports referring to the report of the Azerbaijani State Statistical Committee.
During the mentioned period, 157,900 tons of steel were produced in Azerbaijan, which is a growth of 11 percent in annual terms. Meanwhile, the country produced 153,900 tons of fittings, up by 14.9 percent year on year.
In accordance with the report, from January through July 2021, 18,900 tons of steel pipes were produced (a rise of 52.1 percent). Up to 16,100 tons of primary alloys were obtained from unprocessed aluminum, a decrease of 23.3 percent year on year.
Prefabricated building structures made of ferrous metals worth over 12.48 million manat ($7.34 million, decrease of 7.9 percent on annual basis) were produced.
Besides, nearly 12,465 tons of other structures made of ferrous metals were produced (down 34.8 percent).
The volume of raw materials produced in the Azerbaijani metallurgical industry amounted to 707 million manat ($415.8 million) in 2020, rising by 11.9 percent compared to the previous year.
The manufacture of finished metal products increased by 7.3 percent.
