Iran is interested to export light livestock's colored wool to auto, insulation, and aircraft manufacturing industries, said the managing director of the Central Union of Light Livestock.
Liberalization of colored wool export could generate income for livestock farmers, said Afshin Sadr Trend reports citing ISNA.
"The livestock farming should use other products as well such as wool, there has been an effort to provide advances in this regard to complete wool value chain," he noted.
The official has added that the union has requested for liberalization of colored wool export since last May which was approved by the ministries of Agriculture and Industries, Mine and Trade, and the Customs.
"We hope after receiving final approval the following route would open and export of colored wool could move the market and create income for livestock farmers," Sadr stated.
China and India have been identified as primary target markets for Iran's colored wool.
