BAKU, Azerbaijan, Aug. 21
By Elnur Baghishov – Trend:
Iran can create conditions for the export of Caspian littoral states' oil from Iran through a swap, Director General of the Amirabad Ports and Maritime Department Mohammad Ali Asl Saidipour said, Trend reports citing Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization.
The director-general emphasized that due to the lack of access to international waters of the Caspian littoral states and the high cost of oil exports by land, Iranian ports, including the Amirabad port, are ready to export crude oil through the swap.
Saidipour added that there are great economic ties between the Caspian littoral states. Based on this, it is possible to maximize bilateral trade and cargo transportation with these countries.
“With the strengthening of the unity of the countries of the region, we can witness the emergence of a strong political and economic bloc in the Caspian Sea,” he said.
