Turkmenistan plans to establish the production of new types of chemical products based on hydromineral raw materials from the Garabogazgol Bay, Trend reports citing the Turkmen media.
Deputy Prime Minister for Construction, Industry and Energy Charymurat Purchekov announced the plans of the government at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers.
According to him, the State Concern "Turkmenhimiya" and the Institute of Chemistry of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan confirmed that Garabogazgol Bay has large reserves of chemical raw materials, including mineral salts, sodium and magnesium sulfate, magnesium chloride, lithium and its compounds, magnesium oxide.
In connection with the available data, it is planned to establish a new production of sulfate, as well as develop technologies for obtaining other chemical products, prepare a feasibility study to determine the financial efficiency of the development of the aforementioned reserves.
The new production facilities will be focused on the production of high-quality import-substituting and export-oriented products with high added value.
