Iran to launch some industrial, mining enterprises in Hormozgan Province

As many as 33 industrial and mining enterprises in the Hormozgan Province (southern Iran) will be put into operation within the "Government Week" in Iran (August 24 through August 30, 2021), Chairman of Industry, Mine, and Trade Organization of Hormozgan Province, Khalil Ghasemi said, Trend reports citing the organization’s website.

Ghasemi said that a total of 8.32 trillion rials (about $198 million) has been spent on these enterprises.

“After the launch of these enterprises, 1,150 people will be provided with jobs. These facilities will be put into operation in Bandar Abbas, Minab, Rudan, Hajiabad and Bastak counties of the province,” he added.

The chairman noted that two of these enterprises are of strategic importance at the national level, and 270 people will be provided with jobs with the launch of these enterprises.

Reportedly, there are about 6,000 industrial enterprises operating in Iran's Hormozgan Province.
