TEHRAN, Iran, Aug.24

Trend:

Deputy of Iran Customs Administration has requested the deputy attorney general to determine the fate of 3,643 sediment trucks in customs.

Imported trucks were stored at nine customs warehouses and from the 3,643 imported trucks, 1,084 trucks were declared to the customs whereas 2,559 trucks have not, Trend reports citing ILNA, Mehrdad Javad Arvanaghi.

The reviews of the Iran Customs Administration show that more than 70 percent of imported trucks have not been declared to customs in the country.

The primary and transit documents show that imported trucks were mostly European brands such as DAF, Renault, Volvo, and their import has been approved by the regulations, however, their release from customs has faced various problems.

Some of the problems that delayed the release of imported trucks were the lack of order registration and importer declaration for customs formalities.

The customs official has noted the necessity to solve these issues and called for necessary decisions to prevent damages caused by sediment.
