Uzbekistan’s GDP increased by 6.2 percent in the first half of 2021, as opposed to only 0.5 percent increase for same period of 2020, Trend reports citing Bluestone Investment Bank.
Industrial production saw increase of 18.7 percent in the first half of 2021 and amounted to $18.7 billion, comparing to $15.8 billion in the same period of 2020.
As reported, services saw the biggest rise of 30.2 percent and amounted to $11.9 billion.
On the other hand, construction sector demonstrated the least progress - a 13-percent increase and amounted to $4.5 billion.
Moreover, Uzbekistan’s official reserve assets increased by 5.6 percent within the same timeline and amounted to $34.1 billion.
Domestic debt increased by 4.8 percent and amounted to $2.2 billion while the external debt decreased by 0.5 percent and amounted to $21 billion.
Uzbekistan’s both import and export saw increase in 2021; 22.5 percent ($2.1 billion) and 15.8 percent ($1.3 billion) respectively.
