Iran's Pir Bakran Complex increases iron ore production

The iron ore production of the Pir Bakran Iron Ore Complex in Isfahan Province (central Iran) increased by about 40 percent during the first five months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through August 22, 2021), compared to the same period last Iranian year, Trend reports citing Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO).

According to the report, the Pir Bakran Iron Ore Complex produced about 311,000 tons of iron ore over the reporting period. Meanwhile, this figure amounted to 221,000 tons in the same period last Iranian year.

Moreover, the iron ore production of the complex increased by 51,000 tons compared to the plan (206,000 tons).

Within the 5 months, 289,000 tons of minerals were extracted in this complex. This is an increase of 31 percent, compared to the same period last Iranian year. This figure stood at 222,000 tons in the same period last Iranian year.

“Meanwhile in the 5th month of the current Iranian year (July 23 through August 22, 2021), the complex produced 61,100 tons of iron ore. This is 5 percent more than in the same month last Iranian year. So, 58,300 tons of iron ore were produced by the complex in the same month last Iranian year,” the report said
