The sales of the National Iranian Copper Industries Company (NICICO) increased by 119 percent during the first five months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through August 22, 2021), compared to the same period last Iranian year, the Managing Director of the company, Ardashir Sad Mohammadi said, Trend reports referring to the company’s website.
According to Sad Mohammadi, the company's sales for the mentioned period exceeded 260 trillion rials (about $6.19 billion).
“Meanwhile in the 5th month of the current Iranian year (July 23 through August 22, 2021), the company's sales amounted to 48.4 trillion rials (about $1.15 billion), which is an increase of 67 percent, compared to the same month last Iranian year,” he added.
The director emphasized that despite the current situation (coronavirus pandemic and the introduction of restrictions on electricity supply), the company set a record on copper production and sale.
