By Tamilla Mammadova – Trend:

The Georgian company Manna, engaged in the processing and packaging of agricultural products, has temporarily postponed the production of packaged almonds and walnuts, Trend reports referring to the Georgian media.

According to the director of the company Irakli Gurchumelia, the reason is in the processes that have developed as a result of the coronavirus pandemic, as a result of which the company had to adjust the investment plan.

“We are currently working to maintain the situation. We are thinking about this plan, which we will most likely implement by the end of 2021 or the beginning of 2022,” said Gurchumelia.

The company began producing nuts in early 2021, he said. At the moment, there are blanched and roasted nuts on sale, which are sold in large retail chains.

The company imports raw materials from local suppliers (mainly from Samegrelo). According to them, England and the Czech Republic have already shown interest in the product.

Manna, an agricultural processing and packaging enterprise equipped with modern technology, was opened in 2017. The company owns a factory equipped with modern infrastructure and equipment.
