Georgia is ready to support the development of regional enterprises, said Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili, Trend reports via Georgian media.
He made the remark during his visit to the Ceramica El Torrente, a ceramic brick manufacturing enterprise in the village of Metekhi, Kaspi Municipality. Garibashvili was accompanied by Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Natia Turnava.
According to Turnava, the Spanish company Ceramica El Torrente decided to relocate its plant from Spain to Georgia in 2018.
The company enjoys 900,000 lari bank credit co-financing and 2.55-million lari ($821,511) grant scheme component from the "Produce in Georgia" state program.
The enterprise, with its total investment value is 11.4 million lari ($3.6 million), produces 120 tons of brick a day to sell in the local market.
