The volume of tobacco production in Azerbaijan increased by 56.6 percent from January through August 2021, compared to the same period of 2020 – from 253.5 million ($149.1 million) to 397.1 million manat ($233.5 million), Trend reports via the State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan.
The production of alcoholic beverages increased by 16.4 percent – from 302.6 million ($178 million) to 352.1 million manat ($207.1 million).
During the reporting period, the total volume of production of alcoholic beverages and tobacco products, having increased by 193.1 million manat ($113.5 million), or 35 percent, amounted to 749.2 million manat ($440.7 million), compared to 556.1 million manat ($327.1 million) in 2020.
