Iran has accelerated export of agricultural products by installing 200 refrigerated containers at its northern ports, Executive Director of the Khazar Shipping Company Davood Tafti told Trend.
The company has upgraded 23 ships for transportation of refrigerated containers, Tafti noted.
Container terminals created at Iran's northern ports especially at Anzali, Amirabad and Astara ports to provide services to cargo owners.
"There have been negotiations with Aktau port in Kazakhstan and Astarakhan port in Russia for providing proper services to Iranian cargo owners," he indicated.
Iran Shipping Line Group (IRISL Group) provides new facilities for cargo transportation from southern ports and dry terminals such as Maraghe (Tehran) to northern ports in the Caspian Sea.
Khazar Sea Shipping Lines Company is prepared to operate transportation in the Caspian Sea based on Shanghai Cooperation Organization format.
