Central Bank of Iran shares data on country’s foreign debts

Iran's foreign debts amounted to $8.84 billion from the beginning of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2021) to the end of the 5th month of the current Iranian year (August 22, 2021), Trend reports citing the statistics of Central Bank of Iran.

According to the statistics, of Iran's debt, $2.48 billion is short-term and $6.36 billion is long-term.

In terms of euro, Iran's foreign debt amounted to 7.55 billion euro within the mentioned period. Of this, 2.12 billion euro is short-term debt and 5.43 billion euro is long-term debt, the statistics said.

"During the five months, Iran's exports amounted to 45.4 million tons worth $17.6 billion, while imports amounted to 13.8 million tons worth $16.6 billion," the statistics said.
