Iran sees increase in manufacturing of several industrial, mining products

Iran has recorded an increase in the manufacturing of 20 types of products in industrial and mining sectors of country, during the first six months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through September 22, 2021), Trend reports via the report of Iranian Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade.

According to the report, there was an increase of 66.4 percent in the manufacturing of trucks and trailers for the reporting period.

So, 441,000 passenger cars, 34,500 pickups, 910 buses, minibuses and vans, 335 combine harvesters and 9,450 tractors were manufactured in Iran in six months.

In addition, 2.29 million household appliances were manufactured in the country over 6 months, which is 9.7 percent more than in the same period last Iranian year. Thus, more than 1 million refrigerators and 669,000 washing machines were manufactured.

Within 6 months, the production of petrochemical products also increased by 3.8 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year. So, 31.7 million tons of petrochemical products were produced in Iran during the reporting period.

“Iran has also recorded a decrease in the production of mining products in six months. So, steel production decreased by 9.5 percent, while cement production by 9.2 percent, compared to the same period last Iranian year,” the report said.

Moreover, the production of copper cathode amounted to 150,000 tons (3.7 percent increase), porcelain – 29,900 tons (17.2 percent increase), glassware – 658,000 tons (25.4 percent increase).
