Iran's Saipa sees increase in passenger car manufacturing

Passenger car manufacturing of Iran’s Saipa Group increased by 2.2 percent during the first seven months of the current Iranian year (from March 21 through October 22, 2021), compared to the same period last Iranian year, reads the report of information service (codal.ir) under the Securities and Exchange Organization of Iran, Trend reports.

According to the report, Saipa manufactured 192,628 passenger cars in 7 months. Meanwhile in the same period last Iranian year, the figure stood at 188,490 passenger cars.

So, the company manufactured 166,660 units of Tiba, 12,825 units of “Saipa 151” and 11,722 units of Shahin and 130 units of Ario cars over 7 months.

In addition, the company manufactured and exported 211 Completely Built Up (CBU) passenger cars and 1,080 Completely Knocked-Down (CKD) spare parts.

“Meanwhile, in the 7th month of the current Iranian year (September 23 through October 22, 2021), the company manufactured 27,165 passenger cars,” the report said.

Three giant Iranian automakers (Iran Khodro, Saipa, and Pars Khodro) manufactured 501,635 passenger cars in the first 7 months of the current Iranian year, which is an increase of 1.1 percent, compared to the same period last Iranian year.
