Iran sees increases in foreign trade

TEHRAN, Iran, Nov.2

Iran foreign trade is increasing in the past two months, Iran Customs Administration spokesman told Trend in an interview.

The customs has released 9.7 million tons of imported goods in the past two months indicating the country's imports had a 95 percent increase from August 23 to September 22 and a 93 percent rise from September 23 to October 22, Rohullah Latifi noted.

Iran imported a total of 2.7 million tons of goods valued at $3.3 billion during the first five months of the current Iranian year (started March 21, 2021) that has increased under the new administration to 9.6 million tons valued at $11.1 billion in the past two months.

Iran's total export in the first seven months of the current Iranian year was 75.1 million tons valued at $27.7 billion. The statistics show export during the first five months of the current Iranian year was 45.4 million tons valued at $17.6 billion that had considered growth in the past two months to 29.7 million tons valued at $9.4 billion.

The country's export from August 23 to September 22 had a 60 percent increase with 14.5 million tons valued at $4.4 billion and 67 percent growth from September 23 to October 22 with 15.1 million tons of goods valued at $5.2 billion.
