Precious metals manufacturing on rise in Kazakhstan

Manufacturing of non-processed and semi-processed silver in Kazakhstan amounted to 844,272 kg over the period from January through October 2021, which is 0.1 percent more than during the same period of 2020, Trend reports with reference to Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.

According to the data, non-processed and semi-processed silver production amounted to 105,714 kg in October 2021, which is 22.1 percent more than in October 2020.

Manufacturing of non-processed and semi-processed gold increased by 3.3 percent during the reporting period, having amounted to 94,742 kg (10,906 kg in October 2021, an increase of 0.2 percent compared to October 2020).

Production of non-processed aluminum and aluminum oxide amounted to 1.2 million tons during the reporting period, which indicates a decrease of 6.8 percent compared to the same period of last year.

The production volume of non-processed aluminum and aluminum oxide was 126,126 tons in October 2021, which is 14.8 percent less than in October 2020.

Manufacturing of non-processed refined lead amounted to 93,757 tons over the reporting period, which is 7.9 percent less than during the same period of 2020. The volume of non-processed refined lead produced in October 2021 was 12,026 tons, which is 23.9 percent more than in October 2020.

Production of non-processed zinc amounted to 270,334 tons, which is 5 percent more than during the same period of 2020 (32,899 tons in October 2021, up by 29.3 percent compared to October 2020).

As reported, the manufacturing of non-processed non-alloyed refined copper amounted to 357,841 tons, which is 11.6 percent less than during the same period of 2020 (33,862 tons in October 2021, which is 14.1 percent less than in October 2020).

Manufacturing of other non-ferrous metals and products from them amounted to 34,292 tons, which is 2 percent more than during the same period of 2020 (4,235 tons in October 2021, up by 2.4 times compared to October 2020).
