A total of 2.08 million tons of goods worth more than 190 trillion rials (about $4.53 billion) were sold at the Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) in the last Iranian week (November 20 through November 25, 2021), Trend reports citing the IME’s official website.
This is an increase of 12 percent in value, while a decrease of 21 percent in volume, compared to the preceding Iranian week (November 13 through November 18, 2021).
So, 2.13 million tons of goods worth more than 188 trillion rials (about $4.47 billion) were sold at the Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) in the preceding week.
According to the report, about 1.76 million tons of goods worth about 137 trillion rials (about $3.27 billion) were sold in the industrial and mining products section of IME last week.
The main products sold in this section were cement, steel, iron ore, sponge iron, aluminum, copper, zinc, precious metals concentrate, gold bars and etc.
In addition, about 310,000 tons of various oil and petrochemical products worth about 52 trillion rials (about $1.23 billion) were sold in the oil and petrochemical products section of IME last Iranian week, the report said.
The main products sold in this section were bitumen, polymer substances, vacuum bottom, lube cut, chemicals, base oil, sulfur, argon and etc.
Furthermore, 4,720 tons of various products worth 756 billion rials (about $18 million) were sold in the submarket section of the exchange.
