The volume of cargo loaded and unloaded in the Qeshm port of the Hormozgan Province (southern Iran) increased by 16 percent in the 8th month of the current Iranian year (October 23 through November 21, 2021), compared to the 7th month (September 23 through October 22, 2021), Trend reports via the statistics of Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO).
According to the statistics, about 642,000 tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in this port during the reporting month. Of this, 336,000 tons were loaded and 306,000 tons were unloaded.
At the same time, 45,100 tons of cargo were exported and 2,950 tons were imported through the Qeshm port in the eighth month.
Over the 8th month, 291,000 tons of cargo were loaded and 302,000 tons were unloaded in the port for cabotage.
Furthermore, 567 tons of cargo were unloaded in this port for transshipment, as well as 176 tons were loaded for other purposes.
According to the statistics, 800 tons of essential products, 44,600 tons of construction and mining materials, 581,000 tons of small and assorted products, 1,360 tons of container products, and 13,400 tons of crude oil and oil products were loaded and unloaded in the Qeshm port within the 8th month of the current Iranian year.
As reported, about 11.1 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in the eighth month of the current Iranian year. Of this, 5.7 million tons were loaded and 5.4 million tons were unloaded. This is an increase of 13.4 percent, compared to the same month last Iranian year.
