BAKU, Azerbaijan, Dec. 14
By Elnur Baghishov – Trend:
The value of Iran's non-oil exports will exceed $40 billion in the current Iranian year (March 21, 2021, through March 20, 2022), Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade of Iran Reza Fatemi Amin said, Trend reports citing the ministry.
“Meanwhile, in the last Iranian year (March 20, 2020 through March 20, 2021), the value of Iran's exports amounted to about $35 billion,” the minister said.
According to Fatemi Amin, some simplification of the ministry's obligations to bring foreign exchange earnings to the country, as well as on value-added taxes will help increase exports.
The minister noted that steps have already been taken in this regard. Thus, a plan will be implemented and foreign trade will be facilitated by the end of the current Iranian year (March 20, 2022).
Iran exported 83.7 million tons of goods worth $31.1 billion during the first eight months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through November 21, 2021).
The exports increased by 42 percent in value and 10.5 percent, in volume, compared to the same period last Iranian year.
