The sulfur stone production of the National Iranian Copper Industries Company (NICICO) increased by 2 percent, compared to the plan and amounted to 40,971 tons, during the first nine months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through November 21, 2021), the Managing Director of the NICICO, Ardashir Sad Mohammadi said, Trend reports referring to the company’s website.
According to Mohammadi, the company’s copper concentrate production also increased by 5 percent, compared to the plan, and amounted to 924,396 tons.
“Meanwhile, molybdenum concentrate production of the NICICO increased by 13 percent, in 9 months, compared to the plan and reached 5,952 tons,” he added.
The director noted that the company has produced 267,015 tons of copper anode within the mentioned period, which is an increase of 6 percent, compared to the plan.
Over 9 months, the company produced 216,334 tons of copper cathode, which is 5 percent more than planned, Mohammadi said.
In addition, the National Iranian Copper Industries Company extracted 152 million tons of minerals in nine months. This is an increase of 8 percent, compared to the plan, the director noted.
