Luxembourg's SES S.A. company will continue cooperating with partners in Kazakhstan in order to provide high-speed, satellite-enabled internet for variety of applications in the country, the company told Trend.
SES S.A. is a satellite and terrestrial telecommunications network provider supplying video and data connectivity worldwide to broadcasters.
Commenting on its cooperation results with Kazakh partners in 2021, the company said that this year marks the launch of next-generation O3b mPOWER satellite communications system, which comprises of 11 high-performance satellites with low-latency, intelligent software and extensive ground infrastructure.
“The first batch of satellites is scheduled to launch in 1Q2022. O3b mPOWER will be operational as of end of 2022. We will continue to work with our local partners in Kazakhstan through 2022 to see how we can best help address digital divide in the country and bring high-speed, satellite-enabled internet for variety of applications,” the company said.
"Due to the geopolitical situation of the country, it is awaiting to take next steps subject to our local partners, and hope to continue collaborating on how to best bridge the digital divide in Kazakhstan," the company said.
