The number of industrial enterprises put into operation in Iran increased by 4.9 percent, during the first nine months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through December 21, 2021), compared to the same period last Iranian year, Trend reports via the statistics of Iranian Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade.
In total, 5,375 industrial enterprises were put into operation in Iran in 9 months. Meanwhile, in the same period last Iranian year, the figure stood at 5,122.
As a result of the operation of these enterprises, 113,997 people were employed over nine months. This is 15.7 percent more than in the same period last Iranian year.
Thus, 98,558 people had been employed in Iran’s industrial enterprises in the same period last Iranian year.
According to the statistics, 1.67 quadrillion rials (about $39.8 billion) have been spent on these enterprises for the reporting period. Expenditures increased by 12 percent, compared to the same period last Iranian year. So, the figure amounted to 1.49 quadrillion rials (about $35.5 billion) in the same period last Iranian year.
In addition, within 9 months, Iran issued licenses for the setting up of 29,458 enterprises in the country. A total of 9.66 quadrillion rials (about $230 billion) is to be spent on these enterprises, and if the enterprises are put into operation, 717,995 people is to be employed.
