Kazakhstan’s revenues from the transportation of cargo, luggage, and cargo luggage via road transport amounted to 212.7 billion tenge ($489.4 million) from January through December 2021, which is 19.1 percent more than during the same period of 2020, Trend reports with reference to Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.
Revenue from the transportation of cargo, luggage, and cargo luggage via road transport in December 2021 amounted to 21.7 billion tenge ($50.1 million), which is 27.1 percent more than during the same period of 2020.
The volume of cargo, luggage transported via road transport during the reporting period amounted to 3.3 billion tons, which is 0.8 percent more compared to the same period of last year (359.3 million tons in December 2021, up by 11.6 percent year-on-year).
Cargo turnover amounted to 158.3 billion ton-kilometers which is 1.5 percent less than during the same period of last year (16.5 billion in December 2021, an increase of 2.8 percent).
In turn, Kazakhstan’s revenue from passenger transportation amounted to 93.4 billion tenge ($215.2 million) over the reporting period of 2021, which is 36.8 percent more than during the same period of last year. December revenue from passenger transportation was 9.03 billion tenge ($20.8 million), which is 30.8 percent more compared to December 2020.
The number of transported passengers amounted to 7.5 billion people, which is 9.8 percent less than during the same period of last year (926.7 million passengers in December 2021, up by 2.4 times).
The passenger turnover amounted to 79.7 billion passenger-kilometers which compared to the same period of last year is a decrease of 12.7 percent.
The passenger turnover in December was 9.4 billion (2.2 times more year-on-year).
