TEHRAN, Iran, Feb.7

Trend:

Iran will negotiate with Spain next week to export its kiwi there, said the chairman of Iran's Union of Agricultural Products Reza Nourani, Trend reports citing ILNA.

"Iran looks to hold talks with Spain. Since consumption of kiwi in this country is high, Iran could greatly benefit from significant exports there," he said.

Nourani also said that Greece and Italy have requested to purchase Iran's kiwi in the current year, just as they did in the past two years.

Iran exports 15 percent of its kiwi production to India, however Iranian exporters are now looking for other markers following India's ban on import of Iran's kiwi consignments.

Iran's Plant Protection Organization is pursuing to resume the kiwi exports to India in the meantime.
