Iran is seeking to promote economic ties with Oman, said the Iranian Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade, Reza Fatemi Amin, Trend reports citing IRNA.
"The two countries have numerous grounds to promote economic and commercial cooperation," he said during his arrival in Muscat.
The Iranian government aims to develop commercial relations with regional countries. The Iranian official arrived in Oman with a big commercial delegation to attend the 19th Iran-Oman Joint Economic Cooperation Commission. The two sides are to study 11 cooperation documents.
Iran and Oman trade reached $1 billion during ten months of the current Iranian year (started March 21, 2021) and is expected to rise to $1.2 billion by the end of the year.
